Immobilise Supporting UK Policing at ATLAS 2026

In February, the Immobilise team attended ATLAS 2026, the annual Secured by Design event focused on community safety.

The event brought together police forces, crime prevention officers, and security professionals from across the UK. It’s a chance to share ideas, discuss current challenges, and look at what works in practice.

Working Together on Crime Prevention

ATLAS gave us the opportunity to spend time with policing teams and partners who are working on the same goal — reducing crime and protecting property.

Our focus is simple. Help make property identifiable and give police better information to work with. That means combining practical marking methods with trusted data that can be searched and used in real situations

Showing How Property Registration Helps

At the event, we demonstrated how Immobilise supports this in a straightforward way.

Immobilise is a free online property register where people can record the details of their belongings. This includes serial numbers, IMEI numbers, markings, and photos.

These records are then available to police through the NMPR (National Mobile Property Register). When property is recovered, officers can search these details and link items back to their rightful owner.

Supporting Frontline Policing

Speaking with officers at ATLAS, one thing was clear. Having access to accurate, searchable data makes a difference.

It helps identify stolen property, supports investigations, and makes it harder for stolen goods to be sold on. In many cases, it’s the detail behind an item that turns it from unclaimed property into something that can be returned or used as evidence.
