The UK Police endorsed Lost Property Reporting System

Reportmyloss is a UK Police endorsed Lost Property Reporting System that is accessible by the UK public to report the loss of goods or property to the Police. All reports provide a reference number that can be used with any insurance company and provide a certificate of loss. All loss reports flagged up on CheckMEND and the NMPR making it easier for the Police to locate the owners of recovered lost property and to make it harder for any finder to sell the item on through the second hand trade. Initially the system is being trialed by the Avon and Somerset Police force with a view to it being used by all forces in the near future.
