Insurance Claims Validation

Patriot is an online system designed to assist in the validation of insurance claims relating to identifiable property that have make, model, and serial numbers such as mobile phones, laptops, pda's, satellite navigations systems etc.

In association with the UK Police forces the system also has the ability to reduce fraudulent claims for such property.

Patriot works by bringing together data from a series of databases, providing relevant information for the insurer to validate certain aspects of the claim and also allows direct access to databases of stolen property used by the Police.

Patriot has proven to be a powerful deterrent against fraud.

It also gives insurers access to Police stolen property databases allowing reporting on behalf of the claimant directly on to Police systems.

This is a powerful deterrent to the fraudulent claimant and has resulted in substantial savings for many of Patriot's clients.

Patriot allows the insurance company to dissuade fraudulent claims. This is achieved by providing the insurer the ability to report stolen property directly to the UK Police systems on behalf of the claimant rather than having to rely on the customer's word that it has been reported. The system also flags the items as stolen on CheckMEND - the second-hand trade and publicly checkable due diligence system and if recorded allows the insurer to validate any crime reference number supplied by the claimant.

Claimants still in possession of goods perpetrate many insurance frauds as they wish to retain the use of the goods or sell them. Being able to report goods directly onto the Police national stolen property system and CheckMEND via Patriot is a strong deterrent as the chances of being caught in possession of or attempting to sell stolen goods is now greatly increased.
