Nemesis Targeting carousel fraud throughout Europe

Nemesis is a global secure online database that allows any serial numbered goods to be continually tracked within individual countries and across international borders.

Its primary aim is to help identify potential fraudulent activity centered on Missing Trader Intra-Community (MTIC) Fraud also known as "Carousel Fraud".

Developed in association with HMRC in the UK it has had very considerable success in helping to identify fraudulent activity, and the system has huge potential applications all over Europe.

Future developments include giving trading organisations access to the information on Nemesis to assist them in avoiding fraudulent chains of supply.
