Adrian Portlock
Founder & Managing Director
Adrian is the co founder of Recipero and has been with the company since 2001. He heads up sales and business development as well as taking an active role in all areas of the business. He was privately educated in the UK before studying business management in Oxford where he concentrated on hospitality. After a period of work for a major hotel company in the UK at the age of 22 he started his own hospitality company which he built up and sold out of in 2000 with a view to retiring.
In late 2000 following the loss of a mobile phone he realised the potential of offering a range of services over the internet relating to information about serial numbered goods and co founded Recipero with Ross Stewart and Mark Harman.
He has since guided the company through the development of new services, acquisitions of other smaller data and software companies making it the world’s leading source of information on serial numbered goods and their life history.
Adrian’s interests include Tennis, Angling, and Technology.
