Recipero: recupero. to regain, recover.

Recipero was founded in 1999 with the intention of building a business based on the acquisition of information relating to identifiable (serial numbered) personal property and subsequently allowing the interrogation of this information via a range of commercial models.

The data Recipero focused on included information on how to identify goods by their serial number, their ownership, theft, loss, insurance and warranty information plus details of known clones, counterfeits and fraudulent trading information.

Today Recipero holds over 150 billion records of information on its database and receives over 1 million online requests a month for information.

The Future

Recipero is today focused on increasing the amount of information it holds and the number of checks being run against the data. This includes the development of data collection products which allow our partners to feed us data in a timely and efficient manner.

Additionally we are also continuously looking for ways to expand accessibility to the data, be it by major organisations or the online consumer. Developments include products that work with major internet organisations such as Facebook and Google as well as further integration into Government and Law Enforcement clients.
